Welcome to Spicewood PTA!
Welcome!
Welcome to the Spicewood Elementary PTA! Our PTA is a group of parents, caregivers, teachers, school staff, and community members who have joined together with the shared goals of advocacy, family engagement, programming for kids, and support for our school.
The Spicewood PTA was formed:
- To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, and throughout the community;
- To raise the standards of home life;
- To advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and safety of children and youth;
- To promote the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of children and youth;
- To engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social well-being of all children and youth; and
- To advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding
We value collaboration, commitment, diversity, respect, and accountability. However, we cannot do this alone. The Spicewood Community needs involvement from all families in order to best support our children. Whether you choose to volunteer in a classroom, assist with an event, become a Panther Partner, or simply join as a member, you are doing your part to make Spicewood Elementary the BEST environment for growth.
For reasons of privacy and security, we require that you create an account and/or be a current PTA member to view parts of our website. Please register below, if you haven't already. Thank you!

Volunteer at Spicewood Elementary
We are so fortunate to have a strong and participative community at Spicewood, with so many people willing to donate their time to help the students, school and teachers have the best learning experience possible.
Every parent has a talent, skill, passion, or time. Any contribution is appreciated, big or small. So regardless if you have 1 hour at home to help a teacher, be on the grade level homeroom parent, or donate your time as a committee chair, your time and talents are valued by the whole Spicewood community.
In order to volunteer at Spicewood, you are required to fill out RRISD's volunteer application for a background check. This must be completed each school year.

President-Elect
(PTA Executive Board) |
Think of this as being “president-in-training.” You’ll shadow the current president, learn how everything works, and be ready to step into the role next year. It’s a wonderful way to grow your leadership skills while ensuring our PTA keeps thriving. |
On average, it takes about 1–3 hours a week to attend meetings, check in with the President, and help with projects. During busier times (like fundraisers or events), it might be closer to 5–7 hours. Most of the year, though, the workload is light and flexible—you’ll be gaining experience, lending a hand, and getting ready to step into the President role with confidence the following year. |
