Our first big fundraiser starts on Monday September 15, 2025 through September 26, 2025. It helps fund so many of the programs that make Spicewood thrive — from classroom technology and teacher training to supplies, books, field trips, STEAM Day, Field Day, and more (check out the PTA budget for a complete list). These opportunities are only possible because of our amazing Spicewood community! 

APEX is a two-week, interactive leadership program combined with a fitness-focused event fundraiser that helps schools all over the country raise funds the healthy way. We raised ~$38K during last year's APEX fundraiser! 

New this year: assuming that we raise more than last year’s net funds by APEX, we’re setting aside a portion of the funds raised for a project chosen by the students and teachers: Recess Refresh! Many ideas were shared by the community and depending on the amount raised this could be a refresh to the kickball/baseball field, cricket pitch to the field, new basketball nets, or even a new turf field. 

Another way to maximize the money donated is by taking advantage of employer matching programs. Your employer might match some or all of the funds you donate to a charitable non-profit organization like the PTA. This could be an easy way to double the money you donate! 100% of company matching goes to the school - APEX doesn’t retain any of it!
