Spanish/Fourth Grade - Ms. Kim Teal

 

Three words to describe me: empathetic, dependable, positive

 

Birthday: February 25th

 

Education Background: BA in Spanish with certifications to teach ESL, bilingual ed, EC-4 generalist

 

Pets: my dog Lucy

 

Where did you grow up: Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, then back to East Texas!

 

What is something you would like your students and parents to know about you, your personality, or your philosophy on teaching?
Every circumstance (even a difficult one) is an opportunity - to learn and grow from, to bless others and to be blessed.  It is usually not my first reaction to remember this, but once I come back to it, it enables me to embrace what is set before me with grace and hope.

 

Favorite Food (and dietary restrictions): Tex-Mex is my favorite type of food.  I'm allergic to mangos.

  

Favorite Dessert: anything chocolaty (especially when it is warm and gooey)

 

Who do you cheer for on game day? whoever my husband is rooting for - lol!

 

Favorite Song or Band: Look What You've Done by Tasha Layton

 

Favorite Movie: Ghost Town

 

Favorite Flower: Jasmine

 

Favorite thing about teaching: seeing my students rise to the challenge and succeed
